KiteMafia  was established in 2005 with an idea to offer clothing and waterwear for kiteboarders, designed by kiteboarders. Sick of wearing surf inspired clothing, as that was all on offer, we set out to provide great fit, design and quality with our line. In 2008 we opened our mobile kiteschool in the Hamptons where students learn in the beautiful safe waters of Napeague, weekends, spring through fall. 

Our Team

Fiona, originally from the UK learnt to kiteboard in 2001 in Cabarete, Domincan Republic and since travels the world whenever she can to fuel her passion for kiting. A fashion designer by trade in NYC working for some well known brands, had a dream to live the kite lifestyle and have her own line, so KiteMafia apparel was born.

Idriss, originally from Belgium also learnt to kite in 2001 but in New York.  His obssession with the sport had him traveling the coast of Northern Brazil in search of kite spots, way before it was a well known kiteboarding destination.  His knowledge of the area makes for great annual kitesurfaris where adventures and new spots are always discovered.
